Job Summary - Media Operations Specialist

The Media Operations Specialist is a part of the Ad Operations team. S/he provides support to the team and ensures timely and accurate launches of new paid search accounts. This position plays a key role in operation and quality assurance of PureCars’ proprietary SmartAdvertising platform. Additional responsibilities include optimization of paid search assets within the platform, ad hoc reporting and process improvement.

Reports to: Media Operations Supervisor

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000

Media Operations Specialist - What You’ll Do:

Team Support

  • Support Ad Ops in campaign builds
  • Collect and understand creative/technical specifications
  • Assist with Co-op and Compliance process
  • QA account Builds
  • Create and maintain ad hoc reports
  • Conduct data mining project


SmartAdvertising Responsibilities

  • Understand the function and mechanics of the SmartAdvertising platform
  • Use AdBuilder to create and launch new accounts based on on individual automotive dealership goals
  • Implement changes to existing account based on feedback from the client
  • Use Google Adwords for quality analysis and troubleshooting
  • Gather and organize landing page structures of clients’ websites
  • Improve the components of the AdBuilder templates
    • Keywords
    • Ad Copy
    • Ad Extensions
    • Landing Pages
  • Maintain SmartAdvertising - related documentation & timelines
  • Identify reoccurring issues and suggest improvements to the platform

Other Responsibilities

  • Work with other teams to ensure a smooth transition of workflow from team to team
  • Stay on top of automotive and digital marketing trends
  • Assist in managing and tracking third-party vendors
  • Meticulously document new and existing processes
  • Other tasks that will arise as a result of working in a highly dynamic, technology-driven environment

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 0-1 years experience in paid search campaign management. Automotive industry, a plus
  • If entry level, internship experience in advertising a huge plus
  • Ability to learn and adapt and in a rapidly-changing environment
  • Understanding of paid search components and the interdependency
  • Google AdWords and/or Google Analytics Certification a plus
  • Ad Copy writing experience
  • Understanding of basic URL structure and tracking solutions
  • Ability to analyze data from search engines, analytics packages, and internal data and make actionable decisions and recommendations
  • Detail oriented with the ability to precisely manipulate large, multi-faceted data sets. Pivot tables and V-look-ups, a plus
  • Time management and organizational skills in deadline oriented environment
  • Positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit a plus
  • Four-year degree
