Based on our continued growth, InductiveHealth is expanding our State and Local business unit with an Application Support Analyst. This role will support the implementations of new clients within our SaaS portfolio with emphasis on system configurations, report creation, client localizations, assisting with data migration and external system integration efforts, system testing, and providing system expertise to the clients as they migrate to their new electronic disease surveillance system (EDSS).
You’ll work with clients, project managers, and business analysts to configure an EDSS to meet jurisdiction-specific requirements – you’ll do things like design questions, create queries, create ad-hoc reports, provide metrics and data quality analyses, provide guidance externally on best practices for using the application and internally for supporting the application, and create system workflows. You’ll create documentation for all system configurations for internal support and assist with documentation that will be provided to the client. You’ll provide input to the InductiveHealth training team to ensure high quality system training to the end users.
While this role will specifically support EpiTrax™ and EMSA, we welcome applicants with backgrounds in other EDSS.

What are we looking for?

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or similar area of study
  • 3+ years of experience in technical administration and operations of Public Health IT solutions, encompassing knowledge and best practices in disease surveillance technology. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in EpiTrax and EMSA solutions, but a broader background in managing and optimizing public health IT systems is highly valued
  • Preferred experience working in a state public health agency or similar operating environment
  • Preferred experience with data integration engines such as Lyniate Rhapsody or Mirth Connect
  • Preferred experience with Health Level Seven (HL7) electronic messages including ADT or ORU including national implementation guides
  • High quantitative aptitude with problem solving abilities
  • Naturally curious with high levels of self-motivation
  • Experience working in virtual organizations and working with clients across the United States

What will make you stand out?

  • Experience collaborating with developers, business analysts, project managers, and clients to create or manage a system to support disease investigation activities within a public health authority
  • Experience with system testing and supporting end-user acceptance testing, including creating test cases for internal and external uses
  • Experience executing user requirements into system configurations or identifying when custom code development is needed to achieve client needs
  • Experience working in a state public health agency or similar operating environment
  • Experience with data integration engines such as Lyniate Rhapsody or Mirth Connect
  • Experience with Health Level Seven (HL7) electronic messages including ADT or ORU including national implementation guides
  • High quantitative aptitude with problem solving abilities
