The Operating Partner, Marketing (Growth Hacker) will work with the Diversis investment professionals, operating team as well as with the senior management at the portfolio companies, to bring to bear best-in-class advisory and marketing operating support to drive value in their enterprise portfolio companies. Specifically, s/he will:

· Support- primarily through active advice, coaching and hands-on assistance implementing marketing “growth hacking” plans for Diversis portfolio companies.

· Support the development and execution of lead generation activities that drive profitability and increase market share for portfolio companies. Working closely with sales, build first-class field marketing, demand generation and customer acquisition programs and monitor the effectiveness of such activities.

o Hypothesize, prioritize and test innovative growth strategies.

o Create proper sales enablement tools, content and materials for portfolio company.

o Oversee content marketing – blog, media content, webinars, podcasting, webinars, influencer marketing, SEO etc.

o Design, test and execute demand generation and marketing campaign strategies.

o Define and manage the end-to-end integrated programs including: campaign ROI; acquiring stakeholder support; integrating with all support functions; identifying critical paths; managing milestones; delivering components on time, on budget with flawless execution.

o Work with internal/external resources to create compelling content and assets.

o Partner with sales team to understand needs and opportunities and ensure an effective closed loop marketing process.

o Measure and monitor lead to sales funnel activity to ensure predictable pipeline growth.

o Track and analyze ROI of all programs, campaigns and activities.

· Develop analytics to measure performance against metrics (KPI’s, MQL/SQL, CAC, LTV).

· Interface with outside resources (strategic, operational, and legal) to address key issues as they arise

· Generally work in parallel, but sometimes together with the existing operating professionals within the firm.

· Assess marketing spend with portfolio companies. Develop and manage marketing budgets and recommend overall marketing efforts to manage risk, optimize margins and ensure expense management for marketing operations.

· When needed, work with the portfolio company CMO to messaging to the next level. Build a strong position and awareness in the market through crystal clear messaging that resonates with technical and business users alike.

The Operating Partner will continue to spend most of her/his time in key portfolio companies, but it is also expected that the partner will also support in due diligence efforts where expertise and/or knowledge can significantly increase the quality of information used by the deal team in assessing a particular transaction.

Requirements

· Established record of accomplishment of building shareholder valueas a former Manager/Director/VP Marketing, Director Demand Generation / Growth Hacker, Marketing Consultant or Marketing Operating Partner in businesses of scale.

· At least five to seven years in a relevant role in a mid-size, global (ARR 25M+), complex SaaS or equivalent business.

· Successfully built and managed Lead Development / Growth Hacker content marketing Programs, organizational structures and sales enablement programs. Established experience of having successfully partnered with sales organizations is critical for this role.

· Significant experience within efficient spending environments. Recognized expertise advising or operating in businesses that have experienced significant operational changes and cost controls to maximize value. Demonstrated wins building and managing organizations characterized by operational excellence, budget efficacy and seamless delivery against all operating KPIs improving top & bottom line growth.

· Proven experience building effective sales and marketing organizations, including support functions that enable improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.

· Top tier education, including a graduate degree (most likely MBA but could include J.D. or other relevant advanced degree).

· Demonstrated proficiency with multiple formats of lead generation including email, website, PPC, SEO, SEM, social, direct mail and PR. Successful experience with list management, cleansing, de-duplication, data validation, segmentation, tagging and custom report creation. Verifiable experience with targeting, segmenting and profiling of prospects and customers.

· Results oriented executive with an analytical bent who is current in all marketing automation and analytic tools needed to track marketing ROI.

· Strong educational background. An MBA from a top ranked business school is highly desirable.

· Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation software (Salesforce, Marketo, Hubspot, etc.)

· A succinct communicator. A person adept at distilling complex themes or issues concisely.

· Intellectually rigorous and able to engage in and enrich robust discussion, problem solving, and planning; display an innate intellectual curiosity; ability to execute will be complemented by a well-rounded strategic perspective.

· Rooted in integrity and represent themselves in a truthful and straightforward manner. Intellectually honest and self-aware regarding their own capabilities, limits, and interests.
